We’re hiring!
We are seeking a full-time Executive Director to help lead Humboldt Botanical Garden into its next era of development and expansion.
HBG was founded by a small group of volunteers in 1992 with the mission to establish a world-class public garden in the North Coast region of California. The 45 acre site, neighboring the College of the Redwoods, is sandwiched between the spectacular Humboldt Bay and coastal evergreen forests. The ideal temperate climate allows for the cultivation of a wide selection of plants and to date, 8 of the core gardens have been completed. Miles of hiking trails and dramatic vista points meander up the ridge and around the south perimeter of the cultivated gardens. An earth sculpture entitled ‘All Happy Now’ sits perched at the end of the road offering a meditative view of the Bayside valley in the distance. Truly a treasure, HBG offers the community and road trippers alike an opportunity to explore Nature and learn about plants that thrive in our region. The founding mission of the garden to Inspire-Educate-Grow is stronger than ever! Will you join us?
