Work Programs & Jobs
Partnering with CalWorks, Humboldt Botanical Garden staff and volunteers bring individuals to the garden eager to learn gardening skills. The workers from the program receive education and experience in horticulture, the plant nursery business, teamwork, garden maintenance, self-confidence and more. If an individual is a good worker and learner, HBGF Supervisors put out the word and try to find him or her a job related to their training. Terry Kramer heads up the Calworks-HBGF Partnership for the garden.
