Schmidbauer Temperate Allée

Yulan Magnolia BlossomThe Schmidbauer Temperate Allée consists of 26 Yulan Magnolias Magnolia denudata.

An allée is a French word for alley and is classically used to mean a technique to line a promenade or walkway in a garden with trees.

The Yulan Magnolia is native to central China where it is used as a symbol of purity in Buddhist temples.  The Yulan Magnolia’s spring blossoms are white and fragrant.

The trees of the Schmidbauer Temperate Allée bloom in early spring just above the Moss Family Temperate Woodland Garden.
